Metaphor of Life 9

About the Artwork

Metaphor of Life 9 is a contemporary abstract painting that explores the fragmented and interconnected nature of human experience. Through layered forms, expressive lines and a soft palette of muted pinks, peach, blue, grey, lavender and earthy tones, Apurva Singh creates a visual language that reflects memory, emotion and perception.

The overlapping forms suggest moments of thought and experience emerging, intersecting and transforming over time. Delicate yet expressive lines move across the composition, creating connections between fragmented shapes and reflecting the complex ways in which memories and emotions accumulate.

Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the artwork invites viewers to move through its layers and discover their own associations and interpretations. The balance between soft colour fields, fragmented forms and spontaneous mark-making creates a contemplative atmosphere, reflecting life as an evolving process of connection, change and discovery.

Metaphor of Life 9 brings together contemporary abstraction and a deeply introspective visual approach, inviting the viewer to experience the work through their own memories, emotions and perceptions.
