Raw Essence 2

About the Artwork

Raw Essence 2 is a contemporary mixed-media artwork that explores the layered nature of human experience through fragmented forms, expressive lines and textured surfaces. Created using acrylic and charcoal on paper, the work reflects Apurva Singh’s interest in observing everyday life and translating its complexities into an abstract visual language.

The composition brings together overlapping forms and spontaneous marks that suggest fragments of memory, emotion and lived experience. The interplay between structured shapes and expressive lines creates a sense of movement, reflecting the constantly changing nature of perception and human relationships.

Inspired by the world around her—including people, urban spaces, narrow lanes, densely packed environments and the aspirations of everyday life—Apurva Singh transforms these observations into a visual exploration of contemporary existence.

Rather than following a fixed narrative, Raw Essence 2 invites viewers to move through its layers and discover their own associations and interpretations. The artwork reflects life as something fragmented yet interconnected, where ordinary experiences gradually accumulate into a deeper personal and collective memory.
